Description

BCuP Copper Brazing Rods belong to the Copper–Phosphorus (BCuP) alloy family and are among the most commonly used brazing filler metals for joining copper tubes, fittings, and components. The phosphorus content allows the rod to act as a self-fluxing material when brazing copper-to-copper joints, eliminating the need for additional flux in such applications.

These rods offer good electrical conductivity, strong mechanical properties, and excellent corrosion resistance against acidic environments. They are suitable for applications where good joint fit-up is maintained and where vibration or impact stresses are minimal.

BCuP brazing rods are widely used in refrigeration, air-conditioning systems, electrical conductors, and copper or brass equipment. However, when brazing brass or bronze components, the use of an external flux is recommended.

BCuP Copper Brazing Rods – Technical Details

BCuP (Copper–Phosphorus) brazing rods are commonly used for copper-to-copper and copper alloy joints. They offer good electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance. Certain grades are self-fluxing on copper applications.
